Thank you, marsh, for shedding some light into this. I'm on Windows XP SP2, btw.

Update:
Stars do not appear on favourites on fixed drive but do appear on virtual ones.

Example:
Create virtual drive using "subst" command and add favourite there. This will have star, while fixed one will not.

Update# 2:
Stars on virtual drives now disappear when mounted. Sometimes they can be completely unseen for no apparent reason. I know it is too early to test- maybe there was windows OS patch issue, maybe not... something to check on beta version...

Still don't see star icon for favourites in beta-3.
They appear only when favourites path does not exist (like on removable drive which is not active).

I just worked a bit on the German translation and found that the context menu of favorites is still messy (as posted in the very first post).

In 1.94.2 it looks like this

Code: Select all

Delete
Rename
----------------------
New subfolder
----------------------
Edit entry...
Add entry...
Sort entries
I (again) propose to change it to:

Code: Select all

New...
Edit...
Rename
Delete
----------------------
New folder...
----------------------
Sort
or to make clear that we work with favorites:

Code: Select all

New favorite...
Edit favorite...
Rename favorite
Delete favorite
----------------------
New folder...
----------------------
Sort favorites
Personally I think that the addition of "Favorite" makes the context menu too crowded.

I prefer this one too (free, for... sorry: couldn't help while writing it  )
