I have one problem with saving cropped or modified versions of images. The "Save as..." dialog always remembers the last folder saved to and the last file format saved to. This usually results in a different folder and format than of the original image.
I would prefer it to come up with the folder and format or the original image as default.

For all I know, Corel PhotoPaint also remembers the folder per graphic format. For some people this might be a good behaviour, but like you I find this behaviour quite annoying.Lostclown wrote:I would prefer it to come up with the folder and format or the original image as default.
Another typical situation is saving a BMP file, change the colour depth and save it as GIF for the internet. With the current behaviour you have to select the folder twice.
Perhaps an option can be provided to support both behaviours. Then each user can decide him-/herself.

I think that would be in the spirit of XnView.helmut wrote:Perhaps an option can be provided to support both behaviours. Then each user can decide him-/herself.
Would you put this on your todo list, Pierre?
And even implement it someday
