crash when viewing directory

Hi,

I haven'T found any topic regarding my problem with the search.

Following situation: I installed xnview on a XP machine from an admin account with admin rights. Everything works fine then. Especially the directory browser. I can access every directory without any problems.

Now I created a new account with restricted rights (main user).
I can start xnview alos without problem and also the directory browser. but when clicking on one specific directory xnview closes without any error message (crash?). I can view all other directories without any problems.

I tried to access this specific directory from within the windows explorer to check the access rights. I can access the directoy, I can view the content and I can open the images within that directory also (with xnview).

As soon I start xnview and view an image from within that specific directory I can view it. Activating the directory browser closes xnview again.

Does anyone have an idea what problem (maybe some false setting) this could be?

Also renaming directories is not possible from within XNView. It is possible throiught the windows Explorer though even with the restricted account.

Any ideas?
