Clo, I'm running 32bit 1600x1200 on XP
that's definitely NOT the problem; I was actually afraid of the opposite, that with Win2K (anyway without alpha channel) it would work. I'm not running a standard theme, but XnView is the only app showing this as far as I've noticed: if transparency is correct in the icon, it should work. Maybe the new icon by Mezich will solve the problem.

You should ask Pierre to support this icon in skin and I will include my version .robc wrote:Clo, I'm running 32bit 1600x1200 on XPthat's definitely NOT the problem; I was actually afraid of the opposite, that with Win2K (anyway without alpha channel) it would work. I have noted that with Mezich skin:
-Compare tool icons are still the same
-Export wizard icons are still the same
-There is some problem with Favourities icon in Batch Convert tools (the same in Copy to and Move to dialogs)
-JPEG Lossless Transformations tool icons are still the same (are they supposed to be changed?)

Yes, Pierre, it may be better to "overhaul" all icons in XnView and not only toolbar ones. Of course this would mean either to allow customisation of these other icons also (to make them better match the chosen skin) or to have them made in a "generic" style.
Another option could be to use system icons (this also means, for example, to use the icons set by Windows for folders etc. in the tree list etc.)
Some icons are graphically not "good", currently; at least they're not up to the standards of the toolbars etc. (see the tree icon with a white background I mentioned in this same thread a few posts ago).
