Bad layout display.

Post by Nelson »

I select 3rd layout mode from "View->Layout".

1.
I click the <button> button to get them back.

3.
Now the treeview doesn't restore to its previous size.

Another scenario. Also the 3rd layout mode.

1.
I click the ^ button to hide the treeview.

2.
I click the v button to restore the treeview.

3.
It also can't be restored to previous size.

One more scenario. Also the 3rd layout mode.

1.
I click the ^ button to hide the treeview, or the v button to hide the preview.

2.
I click the < button, but the left-size panel doesn't hide.

Nelson, thank you for reporting these bugs. But please note that you may encounter bugs and problems when using the alpha version but you shouldn't report these. Please see the topic XnView 1.90 Alpha (Early test version) for more details.

Once the first beta is out, bug hunting will be naturally most appreciated.

Note: The buttons ^ and v are the new buttons to minimize/maximize a specific pane.

I don't quite understand the steps and therefore cannot reproduce the problem.

Confirmed in beta1.

Confirmed in beta1. Instead of maximizing the browser pane the tree pane and the preview pane hide/show whenever clicking on the button. (I guess this behaviour is a bug and not on purpose).

Works for me in Beta 2. Nelson, could you please also verify whether this has been fixed?

I didn't understand either, but found instead a new bug that could replace it... :mrgreen:
In layout #3
A
- Minimize Image Preview to the bottom ( v )
- Minimize Treeview (<)
- Restore Treeview (>)
=> Image preview appears in small size (instead of being docked at the bottom)

B (start again from normal separation)
- Maximize Image Preview to the top ( ^ )
- Minimize Treeview (<)
- Restore Treeview (>)
=> You directly get the previous separation state (instead of having Maximized Image preview)

-> Moved to 'New/Open'

In Beta 3, the image is docked, but once you restore Preview ( ^ ), this one has a minimal size instead of its previous state.

In Beta 3, the Preview is maximized, but once you restore Treeview ( v ), this one has a minimal size instead of its previous state.

-> Back to 'New'.
(still not solved in Beta 5)
