Extract Movie Frames

Post by B.Douille »

I noticed a change in this feature from Alpha version and can't track back where it's described. Very usefull by the way and easier to use than the "blind" we had up to now.

A problem is the number of frames generated. I tried on an mpeg stream of ~30 minutes (copy of a video tape) and it drove to 50 shots minimum...
Having 3 or 5 samples is generaly enough to select the best image.
There is also a risk to start extracting before having set the end, driving to thouthands of images (it happened to me)

So, keeping a cursor for start + a field to set the number of image looks better than 2 cursors.

Last: the names of the buttons:
"Apply" means Start and "OK" means Done or Abort or Cancel right ?
