Exif to csv

Post by Olive »

Hi everyone,
I copy the exif properties to notepad, then save as .csv
Now, I open it in openoffice and choose ":" as delimiter.
Would be fantastic if dates like 2003:12:20 08:54:45 weren't splitted to 2003|12|20 08|54|45

Using v. 1.70.4

Perhaps it's better, if i save directly EXFI as .csv ??

Bonsoir Pierre
I was just pointing out that the : between the field name and the value conflict with the : in the date. But it's a bit stupid because the easy workaround is to do a search&replace for ": " (note the space).
What would be interesting, perhaps, is a feature to export several pics' exif to a xml file, as
<item>
<filename>apic.jpg</filename>
<aperture>F2.2</aperture>
...
</item>
<item>...
but don't bother if you have more important priorities for now...

Something else about exif, I noticed that Shutter Speed was curiously formatted, example:
Shutter speed : 2 (5) [shouldn't it be 1/50 or 0.02 or 2 exp-2 ?]
not very important though, Exposure time is written as expected (1/50).

Anyway, XnView is a great software! congratulations :D

Pierre,
I haven't yet tested the new version (I'm waiting for the definitive one).

But if should be great to export EXIF tags and IPTC tags to a csv file.

Thank you again for your software.
