IPTC-Keywords still not working right

Post by negg »

- Open IPTC-dialog for an image
- Choose "Categories", add a category, select it and klick the "down arrow"-button: the category is added to the list of "Defined categories"
- Choose "Keywords" and do the same here
- Close IPTC-dialog and open it for another image
- Look at categories: the previously saved category is still in the "Definded categories List": OK!
- Look at Keywords: the previously saved category is gone :-(

A very confusing and annoying bug, now that we finally have defined keywords, one can't use them! "Lika plastic bone for da dog!"

Fixed! Adding keywords to the defined keywords list now works and is saved even between different sessions!

But my brain still can't make any sense of the following items, maybe because they still *don't* work?

- What does "Add to list auto." mean and do? No effect here whatsoever.
- "Open Text File" and opening an .ipt file I just saved before (containing keywords) does not seem to do anything.
- Deleting keywords from the predefined list only works with right mouse click...I'd guess some people might not discover this.

This feature is for user who have text file with keywords like that:
"file 1", "key 1", "key 2"
"key 3", "key 4", "key 5"
If you open such text file, all lines are added in combo box, so you can add very quickly many keywords...

Ok I see. I tried it (at first with your quoted example above, but without quotes it works better). Every line of comma separated keywords in the file is converted to a distinct set of keywords.

Except the last line. I tried it with:

Code: Select all

A, B, C
D, E, F
G, H, I
J, K, L
(empty line here)
but while the last line (J,K,L) shows in the dropdown list it does not put its keywords into the list below when I select it!

Finally just as information to others: "Add to list auto." means: if you select a set of keywords you imported via text file, those keywords are automatically added to the keywords assigned to the image (the upper list).
