Thank you Pierre

Post by JohnFredC »

Feeling a bit in the holiday spirit, I just wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for XnView.

For Pierre to share the guidance of XnView's evolution with his users is, if not unprecedented, at the very least generous beyond my expectations.

I tend to assume that my input about XnView will at least be listened to, and in many cases actually implemented. Shame on me to take that for granted. But Pierre never raises his "voice", never sounds irritated, and always listens.

XnView is open on my desktop 24 hours each day, 7 days each week. After a certain file manager, XnView is by far the most used tool in my toolbox.

Pierre, thank you. Best of the holiday season to you and yours!

You have chosen the right words, John. Pierre is working and working and working improving things and trying to fulfill all requests. This is very good and desirable. As you said, this is not normal and we are in a lucky position: We can place wishes and bug reports, but must not fix them. :-)

When placing requests for bug fixing or discussing things, the tone is often harsh. Ideas and minds are different, so things need discussing. What I really appreciate is that the tone is always appropriate. This is not normal and natural, either, thanks to all for respecting each other.

Merry Xmas and season greetings to everyone!
