IPTC writting Xnview 1.90 and 1.90-1

Post by bernardd »

IPTC writting is different with use of function Edit IPTC data and use the edit function of properties panel when you look thumbnails.

In first you can use one IPTC keyword with several words ; sample abbé Pierre.

In second, it is not possible, when you save change of a IPTC data mod, the IPTC keywords with several words are splitted in each word. sample abbé Pierre is saved as abbé, Pierre, (new keyword abbé and new keyword Pierre).

I don't know, if use of several words IPTC keyword is in accordance with IPTC council. But I like this use because I find abbé Pierre more easy to read and to understand as abbé, Pierre.

I hope that the use of several words IPTC keywords is legal and that is possible to amend Xnview to save the IPTC data with the same process.

Thank you
