File size & properties not update when changed from outs

In all previous releases of XnView it was quite common that if I opened a file in some other editing program and saved it updated, the Browser in XnView recognized that and updated the information about the file (columns properties and size) with most recent data. Now in version 1.9 it does not work work, the information about files is not updated if changed, so if I edit files indepedently, the browser shows completely incorrect information.
Would it be possible to return to its original functionality, I was used to?

Yes, I have the option checked. I run it on Win XP and it worked well with all previous versions that I have ever used, definitely correctly in 1.82.4, I can confirm.
