Describe - Description - Annotation : All are same ?

Post by murthy363 »

The data entered through Edit > DESCRIBE is stored in the file descript.ion in the respective folder.

This information is retrievable into the status bar through Tools > Options > browser > Info in status bar as "DESCRIPTION".

The same information is delivered to slide show, web page and Contact sheets by inserting the field "ANNOTATION".

As I understand, the three names may be replaced with ONE name to avoid confusion. (May be 'DESCRIPTION'). This may please be looked into.

Secondly, is it possible to add the field 'DESCRIPTION' to the Thumb nail Label ?

Thanks for your attention, as always.

I prefer 'DESCRIPTION', as this is a simpler word than ANNOTATION. As many non-English, non-French, non-German speaking people may be referring to the English version, an easier word is preferable.

Thanks for your quick response.
