Windows XP Taskbar

Post by pphilly »

Hello,

I'm a new user to XNVIEW and I just downloaded 1.90 RC2 and seem to be having a problem. When I double click to open a picture in full screen and then esc out my Windows taskbar turns to black. I'm using Windows XP SP2.

Thanks,

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• Please tell us a bit more, give precise steps to reproduce the bug.
- Which image ? File-type ? Which size (as kiB¦MiB, W*H in pixels…) ? Where do you click from ?

• A screen shot should be welcome too ;) Rather *.PNG if possible…

 Kind regards,
Claude

Taskbar refresh problem

Post by pavel1 »

Hello,

I confirm the problem with the Taskbar refresh for XnView 1.90RC2 on PC with WinXP SP2, P4 CPU and All-In-Wonder 9600 Graphics.

For me it happens in the following case:

-Open a JPEG picture in a normal (window) view (either by doubleclick in Windows Explorer or from XnView browser)
-Switch to FullScreen view (by icon or midle mouse click)
-Sometimes there is a delay (1 sec) before the taskbar disappears
-Escape the FullScreen (Esc or midle mouse click)
-Area of Taskbar (at the bottom of the screen) remains in the color of fullscreen background
- moving mouse on the Taskbar area some icons are refreshed, full refresh happens after clicking Windows icon "Show Desktop" twice.
The fault doesn't occur if I switch to the fullscreen directly from XnView Browser.
It seems that there is no relation to picture size.

Kind regards,
Pavel

Reproduced in RC2 and verified fixed in 1.90.1.

-> Closed.

Note:
From what I can see it's important to close the fullscreen in "Esc" to reproduce the problem.
