Edit IPTC data question

Post by Nekoneko »

When I right click a photo and select "Edit IPTC data", the dialogue box appears, but the forward and back arrows on it are always greyed out. How can I get them to work?

Also, I do not get a prompt to save the data I have entered before exiting. Is this normal?

I am using XP SP2 and XnView 1.90.2
Any help would be welcome. Thanks.

If a text caption is entered, the text will, of course, be saved if the "Write" button is clicked. But if the "Close" button is clicked instead of "Write", there is no prompt to save (Write) the data, and the data is lost.

This is normally not a problem, but if one is adding comments to a number of photos at a session, it is sometimes easy to forget to click the Write button following each edit. Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a prompt to save if the Close button is clicked before the Write button?
