batch convert-> add text problem with alpha channel

Post by Guest »

When using Batch Convert, and trying to "add text" to a 32 image (image with an alpha channel) the resulting image has the text comes out distorted.

This problem has been seen in .iff .tga .tif images created in Maya and photoshop.

To repeat the problem, create a 32 bit targa image in photoshop. Select the image in the Xnview browser choosed "Batch Convert". Choose the Transforms tab, expand the Images menu, select "Add Text", click the Tab button, highight the "Add Text" entry in the upper right hand box, click the ">>" button, select "filename" and then click [Go]. The resulting image will have unreadable text. The same process with a 24 bit image results in the proper result
