High resolution WMF import - how to set up the resolution?

Post by LigH »

Greetings everyone.

I enjoy the feature to import WMF vector drawings in a high resolution, checking the option in the "Read - WMF" option dialog register.

Unfortunately, I cannot set which resolution I want to get. Importing a sheet filling drawing results in XXXX:YYYY pixels at 1000 dpi, this is too much to edit these images much further.

There is a lot of space for controls in this register. How about changing

[x] High resolution

to

[x] Custom resolution: [____] dpi

instead?

If you could make a sort of generic vector format resolution switch, that would be so cool. Something that applies to PS/PDF, WMF, AI, SWF, SVG, etc. However, for fullscreen it seems to make more sense to render them directly to the 'fit to' size, once calculated, especially since some vector formats don't set resolution correctly.
