adding text to images with alpha: Part 2

Post by Guest »

It is great that the problem in using batch convert to add text to images with Alpha channels was repaired so quickly; Thank You! Being able to use this feature points out the following issue:

When Text is added to a 32 bit .tga (TARGA) format image, the output image has no alpha channel value for the text.

In other words, when using an image with an alpha channel, if you place text on top of an area of the image that is "empty" (alpha = 0), the text will not show up when the image is composited or put over other graphics......

This user expected that added text would include a solid alpha channel.
If this present behavior was planned, maybe there could be an option
to set the text alpha value similar in the way the text color is now set.
