NConvert and camera gamma and brightness

Post by superrune »

Hi!

I am trying to figure out if NConvert can be used to replace dcraw and Adobe Bridge/Raw for my Canon .CR2 raw conversions. I have a completely neutral profile in Adobe Bridge, and I also sometimes use the linear option in dcraw when I do conversions. However, I can't get NConvert to match any of these two kinds of conversions. The NConvert result images are more similar to the RAW thumbnails, actually.

My main problem is that I cannot get the -raw_gamma parameter to work. Even though I set it to values from 0.1 to 2.2 - there is absolutely no change in the resulting image. Is this parameter working at all, or could I be doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Rune

Oh yes, right, -raw_gamma is no more used by the RAW loader
