Hi,
an example:
PDF isn't associated with XnView, also not selected as file type. When I'm viewing files in a folder (e.g. 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, 4.PDF) and going from 3.jpg to 4.PDF then my XnView freezes for some seconds/minutes/hours, until the PDF is decoded. The decoding-process is not interuptable (only killing by the Taskmanager is possible).
Additionally I don't want that XnView is displaying PDF.
How can I prevent XnView from displaying some file types?
Greetings.

I must agree that it's quite annoying that XnView displays PDF files even when it's not told to do so (PDF is not checked in the "File Types" list).
Actually, I don't understand the "File types" list. I have unchecked WAV, MPG, AVI, but XnView still displays them. What is the meaning of the list then?

"File types" option is for "Save as" dialog (and maybe for something else).J.N. wrote:I must agree that it's quite annoying that XnView displays PDF files even when it's not told to do so (PDF is not checked in the "File Types" list).

Go to Options > Browser > File List > and unmark what you need under Items shown in thumbnail/other mode(s).
Also you can try unmark "Play movie/sound" under Options > View > File List.
Disable PDF only is probably not possible now.
