Editing data in Properties dialog

In the EXIF and IPTC "preview" pane, the user can edit some of the existing EXIF and all of IPTC data (given that a value is already there).

I would find it convenient and intuitive if this editing was available in the Properties dialog, too (Edit > Properties).
