Cannot open folders with localised names

Post by Veki »

hi! first of all, a great piece of software, very fast and useful. but since i installed a newer version (i don't know if anyone else has the same problem) this is basically what happens:

i have some folders with localized names (croatian letters šđžćč - don't know if you'll see them on your screen as i do). they are shown in the folder tree on the left side without the localised chars (i.e. letter "š" is shown as "s"), and when i try to enter any of these folders, xnview reports that the folder doesn't exits. actually, it really doesn't exist, because the name in the tree is different from the real one.

:(

could you please check if there is a solution to this annoyance in this otherwise excellent program?

best regards,
veki

Yes, it's a know problem but not a problem of new version (of all versions). Currently xnview doesn't support unicode...
