contact sheet print description / <annotation>

Post by gkotlan »

new XnView user is impressed with first use of this application.
Just installed v1.90.3en (win xp).
My project requires me to print contact sheets with 2-line annotations.
Layout will be approx 4x6 grid on 8.5x11 page.
Total project is >2000 images.
When I use XnView to create Descriptions (Annotations) and then include that field in a Contact Sheet, the full text entered is not displayed.
Description/Annotation will not word-wrap, and only the first few words are shown. Annotation will only print on one line and then truncate.
I need to include about 50 characters at 8pt.
At this size, contact sheet truncates annotation at about 20 characters.

Any recommendation? Thank you very much.

‹descript.ion› doesn't wrap…

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• Unfortunately, the ‹descript.ion› files (from 4Dos®¦4NT® originally) don't support a wrapping,
at least as the usual standard we have here… :|

• Please, make a Search here, that topic has been discussed recently, and even is still hot somewhere, I guess…
- Contact Sheet and Print are not thingies with which I play very often in my usual jobs, sorry…
and it's almost 7:00 AM here, I hand over the watch :D

 Kind regards,
Claude
