After Save continue on

Post by voicelit »

So, I'm going from image to image in what I think is the browser. You know, hitting the space bar : next image, hit space bar next image. I crop an image, then "save file as" to a desired folder on my desktop. I then want to just continue on hitting the space bar , next image from where I left off. But I'm now stuck in the folder I opened to " save file as" . Anyway I try now to get back to the whole collection of fresh photos brings me back to some place I had started, not where I left off. It's even hard if not impossible to find in the browser ( display of all thumbnails of folder I'm working on ) some indication ( highlighted ? ) of where I left off.
I just want to go from image to image , cropping and saving to file now and then, and just continuing on to the next file. Not trapped in the folder to which I saved a file , then each time winding my way back to where I left off.

Any help?

Disabling the General>[Operations]>After 'Save as', change filename option will allow you to continue viewing the original file (at its location).

Doesn't help

No, help that change. I don't want to go back to the same image.
I have a batch of images - photos. I'm working on them one at a time. Say 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...
I press the skip space bar, I go from image one to image two, press again image three. Say, in image three I crop the photo then save it to a folder on my desktop. I want to press the space bar and go right on to image four in the original batch of photos I was working on . Not back to image three. At the moment, I'm stuck in the folder I save the image to... I can press the space bar and go forward through the images in the folder I have saved the image to.. I don't want that. I want to just save whatever changes I have made to a folder, and continue forward through my original batch of photos.

Any help,

Marty
