Number of selected files shown in statusbar

There used to be a problem with the preview not updating when decreasing the number of selected files in browse mode using the arrow keys while holding down the shift key. See comment 1) in this topic

This has been fixed but now I have a somewhat similar problem.

The status bar info on the number of selected files and their total size will not update when the number of selected files is decreased. It is however updated when the number of files is increased.
