Problem with the preview pane

Hi,

I have XNView installed on 2 machines and I've noticed that on one of them the preview pane has 4 tabs across the top of the image; Preview, Properties, Histogram and EXIF. As far as I can tell this is enabled via the View menu and then the Preview Pane option. However, on one of my machines the Preview opiton in the sub-menu is greyed out and I assume I need to enable this in orer to see the tabs, as this is a really good feature.

Any help on how I can enable this will greatly appreciated?

That's correct maybe I didnt explain it fully enough. From the view menu, you have "Preview Pane" as an option. The sub-menu has the following options: Preview, Properties, Histogram, EXIF, IPTC, XMP then a horizontal break, followed by Show, Use tabs and Use vertical layout.

The first option "Preview" is greyed out, i.e: implying that it is not available to select. I am therefore assuming that this is stopping the tabs appearing above the smaller image, maybe this is not the problem and it is another setting?

I have uploaded a couple of examples to highlight the problem http://www.everybodysmile.biz/testdir/example1.jpg shows the tabs not appearing.
