It would be cool, if there was an option that let me put all folders at the end of the filelist. Useful if you have many folders with lots of subfolders. Right now i always have to scroll down to see the actual files in the active folder, which kinda sucks cause it's annoying over time.
Right now i usually end up hiding all folders in the thumbnail view mode, but then i don't have the benefit of seeing the preview of folder contents.

Get the bugs fixed, THEN start adding features. It sucks, but someone has to do it.

Hello !
• In Total Commander, we have a command GoToFirstFile which allows to jump directly to the first file.
I use it from a button in a tool bar.
- The same could do the trick, I guess…

Well, but that would need further interaction on my behalf, which i could do without.Clo wrote:In Total Commander, we have a command GoToFirstFile which allows to jump directly to the first file. I use it from a button in a tool bar. The same could do the trick, I guess…

If I were to design such a feature, it would have all folders shown, then a break (horizontal rule, even, if possible), followed by all the files. Sort of like how explorer does it if you turn grouping on (although I leave it off because it groups the files by name or type or whatever, as well). When entering a folder, it will select the first file and scroll down so that folders are hidden. That way you can scroll up for folders, down for files, or whatever.
I'd actually turn folders on if it was like this; right now they just clutter the view too much, make it hard to see where the real files start.
Folders at the end isn't such a bad idea either, and it'd probably be simpler, so.... :p

Well, if it did that automatically (jumping to the first file), i could live with that, too. At least as long as it doesn't select that file and thus will display a preview.foxyshadis wrote:If I were to design such a feature, it would have all folders shown, then a break (horizontal rule, even, if possible), followed by all the files. Other than that, either way is better than now IMO, since, as you've already said, the folders can really get in your way in thumbnail view.
