PNG indexed color bug?

Use some image and try to convert it to 128 indexed color PNG.

When you convert it, color information in image is changed but information in statusbar show you 256 not 128. XnView save image as 256 not 128 color image.

when convert to 8 colors statusbar show 16 colors bug?
when convert to 16 show colors statusbar show 16 colors OK
when convert to 64 show colors statusbar show 256 colors bug?
when convert to 32 show colors statusbar show 256 colors bug?
when convert to 64 show colors statusbar show 256 colors bug?
when convert to 128 show colors statusbar show 256 colors bug?
when convert to 216 show colors statusbar show 256 colors bug?
when convert to 256 show colors statusbar show 256 colors OK

But when saving to GIF all is ok.
