Are there any plans to improve searching in categories? Currently there is none.

You means searching on categories in search dialog?

I've thought about using categories tree to select many categories at the same time, and to construct simple queries (searches) in this way.
But also using Search dialog is OK.
It would be convenient then to have Saved searches in Categories tree.
