Problem with printing on network printers

Post by mikha924s »

Problem with printing on network printers

XnView 1.91.2 tested on WinXP SP2 and Win2K Server

System has 2 printers -
1) local (actaully there are virtual printers "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer" and "Fax" on different PCs)
2) network printer called \\SRV-01\Printer_117 as default.

----
1) select image and do print in file menu or RMB menu
- In Print dialog On the Printer tab local printer is selected by default (while network printer is default for system)
2) choose network printer and do Print
- XnView prints on local printer instedad of selected network printer

If no local printers exists, problem does not appear. I did not test with more than 1 network printer, though.

Problem did not appear in XnView 1.91.1 on the same configurations.

Best regards,
mikha.

Print problems with 1.91.2

Post by Jarda »

I can confirm print bug with 1.91.2 under Czech WXP SP2. XnView uses everytime MS Document Image writer instead of HP LaserJet 1200 no matter which printer is set by user as default.

I have HP printer as local printer but shared with two another PCs. I test on this same machine 1.90.3 version, this one works flawlessly.

I have got similar problem
Win XP SP2
XN View 1.91.2 (just down loaded 3 Aug 2007)

I have 2 printers : old HP mono laser and Epson Colour, both on Wifi Print server.

I can select either printer in xnview, however the print only come out on the hp laser! (The default is the Espson printer)

I cannot print to the Epson.

All my other applications work fine, I can select and print to either printer with no problem

Only xnview 1.91.2 cannot print to Epson colour printer!

Previous xnview I had on my pc was fine in this respect - both printers worked.

Please help fix this problem.
XNView is an excellent utility, and I love using it. But I do need to print my colour photos from it!
