Hello,
I find out the very fine function from nconvert and xnview to rotate JPeG dependent on EXIF.
My problem is that XP SP2 do not shows thumbnails in the correct rotation after pictures are rotated with nconvert (4,79) or xnview.
I do not find a command line option for nconvert to renew embedded thumbnails.
BTW: It's important for me that the date of changing of the jpeg files stays original.
Is there a way out?
Thanks a lot

Re: rotete embedded thumbs for XP
You have -keepfiledate, for the thumbnail problem i must add a command to recreate thumbnail in nconvertxntest wrote:Hello,

Hello again!
Since my last post I tested nconvert lossless rotate function several times because some people told me that nconvert rotates thumb automatically.
I find out that nconvert do so only somteimes.
Sometimes it rotates the thumbs and somtimes it doesn't.
I tried to find out on what the behaviour depends but I do not know it.
I use nconvert in a little script so it is sure that the command line is allways the same.
I hope it helps

I wanted to do it.
But when I was looking for a way to upload a file i found out that not nconvert is the problem.
When I copy a file from one PC to another the Thumbs are shown in correct direction.
So, all I have to do is to delete Thumbs.db and than to reopen the folder.
Thanks for your help and sorry for the trouble.
