It will be a nice improvement to have Xnview able to read flv vidéo file.
fichiervideo.flv (vidéo flash Macromedia from daylimotion, youtube etc...)
maybe with open source :ffplay ; ffmpeg ?
vidéo flash *.flv under Xnview

Better off using FFDShow than codec packs.
You can get FFDShow (CLSID's version) here - http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-tryout/

You might have trouble with the more recent FLV4 files. While many programs can handle FLV1 files, few can do FLV4. You know you have this problem if you play an FLV file and just get the audio. To fix this, you need to use an FLV splitter. This one works great: http://ffdshow.faireal.net/mirror/Media ... plitter.7z
If you have that and FFmpeg installed, you should be able to play all FLV files on just about any player on your system.

Thanks for your technical information.
Yes, I had this problem (strange noises and black vidéo) with the
K-Lite Codec Pack 2.88 Full ( the lastest version for windows 9X ..) but it was solved by using the ffdshow_rev1413_20070809_xxl.exe program.
(except the location of the vidéo windows area on xnview - always at the top-right of the screen, like ffplay behavior).
But it works even with FLV4 files - I suppose (recent daylimotion flv file)...
Yes I have also FFmpeg installed with ffplay.
