A small suggestion I'd like to make, would it be possible to use the original file when making a wallpaper from an image, instead of converting everything to .bmp, if it's a supported format? (I guess maybe you could check for either active desktop or XP/2k3/Vista, which all natively support non-bmp types?) It's just that bitmaps are gigantic and can slow down the loading of the system.

All that does it take up some more hdd space. When they're being displayed they take up just the same amount of memory in your RAM.
Get the bugs fixed, THEN start adding features. It sucks, but someone has to do it.

I know, I don't have very much disk space for my profile though, enough that 3-30 megs (depending on size) is a very significant amount. (The image also isn't in local settings, which means it gets kept with the profile all the time, and worse, takes forever to load off the network and save on logoff.)
