Print size (Druckgrösse) in Status Bar, browser ...

Post by Peter2 »

Hello

the file properties show me the "Print Size" (Druckgrösse) of the file.

Is it possible to display this information in browser, status bar, list or detail-list?

Thanks in advance

Peter

Currently not possible, but perhaps will be a good thing to have it!
What do you think??

For me it would be very usefull, because we use many TIFs, made by Scanners and showing maps, plans, schemes etc. in differnet papersizes. For printing it on the right paper (A4, A3, landscape, portrait, Plotter with different rolls) it is necessary to know the papersize.

At the moment I use TotalCommander with two different plugins displaying the results in user defined columns:
- Imgsize
- ScriptPlugins with a VBS script,

But it would be nice to have an
- analyzing
- displaying
- sorting/grouping function

in XNview too.

If i add the print info in Info panel (near the preview), is it good?
Pierre.

I don't understand exactly ..
Do you mean as an additional register in Browser near "preview / properties / Histogramm"?

I think it should be in the "Detail list" of the files as an optional column near "Name, date, Description ,...." so that you can get an excellent overview of all papersizes of all images.

That's a good option for a single file.

But to get and to handle the information of many files it should also be displayed (optional) in the "Detail list" (maybe I don't use the right word: I mean the part of the browser where all files can be shown in Thumbnail / List / Detail list / ...)

Hello

I just installed the new version and saw that the picture size is displayed in the "explorer view" (?? maybe wrong word ..).

But I see only the pixel size (i.e. 1187x1772), but not the real printsize (papersize) like 15.00 x 9.99 cm.

Is it possible to display the papersize?

Version 1.91.5 is said that this function is added http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=13573, but I still can not found it: neither in status bar nor in Properties list (detail view).

It is placed in status bar with:
Options... Browser>[Browser]Info in status bar: Print Size

There is a column for it with
Menu... View>Columns>Print Size

Peter
And also here :
Clic on Properties (between Preview and Histogram).
or
Right mouse clic on preview image\ Properties \ image...
then print size is noted in inches and cm (if DPI :pixel per inch is defined).

Thank you - that are the new functions for "list information" which I was looking for.

But: The column stays always empty when I click on a folder and all other information is displayed (name, date, type, ..) The printsize is only activated when I click on the title of the column to sort it.
A feature or a bug?

Thank you too - these are the old functions for "single file information" which I already knew.
