second image file is decoded as black/white
Hello,
with the new version 1.74 I've got a strange problem.
When I'm loading an image and then go to the next file (e.g. with PageDown) then the second image (when it's a jpg, gif or png) is decoded as black/white (1 Bit) and you will see a white rectangle with some black spots on it (also the resolution is wrong). When you go to the 3rd ("Keep current image in cache" disabled) or 4th ("Keep current image in cache" enabled) image and then go back to the 2nd, then it's correct decoded.
System:
Windows 98SE
Athlon 1GHz
512 MB RAM
Best wishes.

I can't reproduce the problem. You view the first file (RGB), and you go to the next (black&white 1bit), there is problem?Anonymous wrote:with the new version 1.74 I've got a strange problem.

Which fit option do you have?
Do you have enabled Options/View/High zoom quality?
Pierre.

Sorry for the confusion, I choosed the wrong title for this problem.xnview wrote:I can't reproduce the problem. You view the first file (RGB), and you go to the next (black&white 1bit), there is problem?

The second file, not depending of the type, is always displayed scrambled.
I did a screenshot, where you can see the problem.

It doesn't matter, if High zoom quality is enabled or not. Here is a screenshot from a scrambled picture in high quality mode.

The problem is also independent of the used fit option.
Hope this helps you.
Best wishes.

I've saved your image in a folder and copied it several times. Could not reproduce the problem. But I'm on XP, so probably no wonder.Anonymous wrote:The problem occurs with every file, also with the image below. ...xnview wrote:Yes an image file, to be able to reproduce the problem.
- Does this problem occur with image files of any type (GIF, ...)?
- Does the problem still occur after renaming the 'PlugIns' dir?
- What's the size of free memory during such an XnView session?
Re: second image file is decoded as black/white
I can't reproduce the problem too.Anonymous wrote:The problem occurs with every file, also with the image below.xnview wrote:Yes an image file, to be able to reproduce the problem.

Yes.helmut wrote:- Does this problem occur with image files of any type (GIF, ...)?
Dozens of MByte.helmut wrote:- What's the size of free memory during such an XnView session?
No! If the 'PlugIns' folder is renamed or does not exist, then the problem, does not occur!helmut wrote:- Does the problem still occur after renaming the 'PlugIns' dir?
I've renamed sequentially every single file in the 'PlugIns' folder, and the offender is located:
CADImage.dll
Cause I 've got no CAD-files, I leave this DLL renamed.
Thank you very much for the tip.
Best wishes.
