.eps files making xnview lock up

Post by tshirtbri »

I have had version 1.91.4 & ghostscript AFPL GS 8.54 installed for a couple of days & everything was running fine. Then today it locks up & becomes unresponsive whenever it has anything to do with an .eps file???

If I restart xnview it works great with any files or folders that don't have an .eps files in them??

I've uninstalled & re-installed both programs to no avail?? It won't show thumbnails of .eps files anymore & if I even click on one it locks up? It will show .pdf thumnails but when I double click on it it says: Format of the file <PDF> could not be determined???

I'm confused as it was running great up until this happened? Any suggestions or ideas??? Anyone...LOL Thanks!!!

I forgot to mention that when it does lock up, ghostscript trys to send a huge file to my printer?? I've tried different versions of GS & it still does the same thing??

I forgot to mention in my post that after it locks up & I shut it down, ghostscript try's to send a file (1.4 mb) to my printer??

I'm thinking part of it may be something w/my desktop as I installed the same exact set-up (version 1.91.4 & ghostscript AFPL GS 8.54) on my laptop & while I still can't see the thumbnails of the .eps files?? They do show up in the preview window & I am able to create contact sheets w/them (which I would even be happy with getting it to work that way on my desktop) and yes I have checked the "show as thumbnail" option in the browser file list in case you were thinking that might be the issue.
