Site Admins, 'Rotate' is a big feature, surely it deserves a default button of its own by default.
People can have whatever program for editing they want installed on their machine, from 'Photoshop' to any other one they prefer but it seems that most of them would want to have XnView installed for the fastest, most convenient double-click picture viewing.
So that is why 'Rotate' and 'Zoom' buttons are the ones they will all use most of the time if their purpose is quick picture viewing.
I found the 'Rotate' button most convenient placement to be 6th button from the left but as long as it is included by default, it would help this program's universal adaptation.
Default settings and speed are this program's strongest features.
Also, please note that ACDSee was ruined after it
1. Started taking too long to open pics by double clicking on them .
2. Imposed itself as the default application for many formats without asking.
Good luck again.
Rotate button in toolbar

'Rotate' and 'Zoom' buttons aren't displayed by default because on small desktops like 640x480 there wouldn't be room for them. You really need 1024x768 with no toolbar text for all of them.
Relax, as long as I'm around XnView won't be making the same mistakes as ACDSee thats for sure.

Good to hear.
I could go as low as 800x600 to see there is room for 9 or 10 buttons.
How many buttons does 640x480 hold?
I was going to suggest the Resize button is important as well (for quick resize adjust > email purpose) but of course perhaps I'm mistaken and other buttons may hold greater significance for most users...
Thanks & keep up the good work.

That's a nice explanation, ckit, but I have the feeling that the 'Rotate' button is not shown since it does not look that nice in the default skin. I also think that it should be shown by default.ckit wrote:'Rotate' and 'Zoom' buttons aren't displayed by default because on small desktops like 640x480 there wouldn't be room for them. Good to have some people that keep an eye on whether we are on the right track.ckit wrote:Relax, as long as I'm around XnView won't be making the same mistakes as ACDSee thats for sure.

c627627: Good suggestions, even better if they came in separate threads.
