Cannot view PDF, or AI files

Post by Sark »

Have just discovered xnView and what a great program. I just have a couple of questions regarding its use…. (version 1.91.4 on Win 2K)

Firstly, although everything is enabled to show .pdf and.ai files, these do not display in the browser (including the thumbnail window). Even if I create a .pdf using xnview it will not display in the browser.

The other question relates to the readable formats. Under Info/Supported Formats it shows there are 146 read and 50 write formats installed. The help files suggest it can read more than 400 formats and includes a list showing them all. Is there a way of installing some of the listed 400 that are not currently available. I would just like to enable xnView to read some CorelDraw .cmx & .cpt files that the help files list suggest it is able to do, but are not currently installed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Go to Tools » Options... » General » Use all formats available

Many thanks for the swift responses.

I will read the info in the links and download the Ghostscript file and see if that helps.
