INI from user folder replaced by some defaults

Post by chrizio »

Sometimes I experience a mysterious disappearing of my INI file.
I use the INI file placed in user folder.
I'm not able to tell now the circumstances when it occurs.
All I know, that from time to time suddenly I have to state xnview
starts with awful UI configuration, not that one created by me once.
I have then to restore the INI file from a backup.

Actually, I can tell when what were the circumstances that occurred just some minutes ago.
I was opening a picture from Firefox by following a link (a java link or simple link).
About the previous one I don't have any details.

Is the reason known ?

Yes, I've seen this on a Win2000 machine.
Didn't happen on my WinXP machine.
