Quick Slide Show & Categories questions.

Post by Sark »

Just a few questions and issues regarding Categories and the Quick slide show.

What is the keystroke for the Quick Slide show in version 1.91.4. “Pause” doesn’t seem to work on my keyboard, but “Pause” is listed next to its menu item.

If during the Quick slide show I double click an image to view it full screen. When I double click to return, the slideshow does not continue, fine, but when I use the Quick slide show context menu button to restart, it doesn’t work the first time. I have to open the context menu again and click a second time to restart the slideshow.

If you place the same file in more than one category the “Remove from all categories” option does not work, it only removes the file from the currently open category.

In the latest version of xnView (1.91.5) what exactly does the new Categories tab in the image window do. I cannot drag files into any categories so, what is its purpose, am I missing something?

Many thanks

It's only a view of categories used for selected file

Browser mode... The "Space" shortcut only works in Viewer mode not Browser mode as suggested in the Browser mode Shortcuts list in the Help file.
In Browser mode only the Context menu seems to start and stop the Quickslide show.

This is no longer a problem for me because I now realise I can use the Quickslide show in Viewer mode and use the Space bar to stop and start. I was also unaware I could tag images in Viewer mode. I now realise Viewer mode does everything I need for my workflow.

Many Thanks

Right. Space (and Pause) works in View mode and both Fullscreen modes, not in the Browser. It will be fixed.
