hi,
-in browser-mode
-pressing F2 to rename a file.
if the filename already exists, xnview gives an info, but then the rename-dialogue is closed and the user has to type the name again, if he wants to rename the file (now, he knows, that he must type another name, but has to type it again).
this is anoying, specialy on long filenames to rename :-)
better way: give the user a warnung, that the name exists (or the file isnt renameable or whatever) and open the rename-dialogue again *with* the already typed name.
so the user must not type the same name again.
any other ideas?
cheers,
renaming dialogue could be improved on existing filenames

but could you please remember the filename, the user entered already? so he does not have to type it again.
otherwise, this is not a very powerful help for the user anyway.
