7z archives are shown in thumbnail view, but i dont want it

Post by loth »

hi,
maybe a simple thing, but i did not find an option to solve my need.

in the config -> browser -> filelist
i have disabled
show item in view 'thumbnail' and 'other': [ ] archives
custom files are "html htm url ttf"

but in a folder with a lot (3191 files) of .png and .7z files, the .7z files are shown in thumbnailview.

how can i disable them to be shown?

thanks in advance

Can't confirm, it's working good here. Make sure you have the latest version.

XnView 1.91.6, Windows XP SP2.

same version here.
so it must relay on my other settings, i guess.

i renamed the xnview.ini (where i save my settings)
started xnview, disabled [ ] archives,
and moved to the directiory mentioned.

now, only the .png files are shown. which is what i wanted.

i then, opened another instance of xnview in another directory and just copied all the settings by hand by copying in. applied and restarted xnview.
it worked again.

so this left me to the conclusion, that xnview gets confused with old settings from older versions of xnview and the user should start his settings from time to time from scratch. (i say this, becaus this is not the first time, this occours to me)

however, thanks for the check, that helped me resolving the problem :)
