Can't edit EXIF data in .tif

Hello,
I need help. I can't edit the create time in my pictures in .tif format. I can see the date and time. If I want to edit the time with Xnview, I see no changes. I get no error messages.
If I make changes in jpg- files, it works fine.
I made the pictures with a Sony F828. Where is the problem?

Currently you can only edit exif date for jpeg file
