Try the command line options (+ HotkeyP, but it's not necessary), you can create the screensots by a single key, it's automaticaly saved and you can create another, no need to run xnview, more here:

That would save the entire screenshot.. Im talking about cropped screenshots. If you have dual monitors and you take a screenshot it takes it of both monitors and thats a huge screenshot.
Ok another scenario.. You have been working on several pictures and you just want to save and quit.. A save all option in file. 2 clicks and your done..

It was just a suggestion, workaround, I think something similar has been requested already.
BTW If you want to make few screenshots and then crop, you can use the command line options, then open the first screenshot, crop, save (quicky just using Ctrl+S, or tollbar button), then swith to other screenshot... Or - you can use batch processing > Crop to crop all screenshots at once.
