I try to turn "Open A Window Per Picture" on and see what's difference.
But now, even I turn it off (keep as default), when I use Ctrl + Left click and choose open with 2 photos, it still pop up 2 XnView new Windows not a single XnView window with 2 view frame/page/tab as before.
I am sure in Tools-->Options-->Misc.-->One a window per picture is no tick.
Is it save in ini or registry?
Thanks

Re: Open A Window Per Picture
The naming "Open a window per picture" is a bit misleading and perhaps even wrong. If this option is activated (checked), XnView will open a new window whenever you open an image. This will allow to open several windows with exactly same image.tck wrote:I try to turn "Open A Window Per Picture" on and see what's difference

If you uncheck this option (which is the default), XnView will check whether a window with exactly this image is open, already, and only open a new window if none is open.
For what you want to achieve you have to use the option "Only one instance" in "Tools > Options > Misc.". If you check this option, there will be always one instance (=program) of XnView, only, and the all pictures will be opened in this instance.
By default, the file 'xnview.ini' is used for saving options. If you activate the checkbox "Use registry to save options" in "Tools > Options > Install", the options will be saved in the Windows registry.tck wrote:Is it save in ini or registry?
