After readying the past posts about XMP I understand that there is a consensus that in the future XnView should write the internal rating and color labels to XMP. Right?
I would like to suggest something that goes with it. Can the rating/star assignment shortcuts be remapped to the plain:0-5 numbers? Reasons:
-it is the easiest and most natural shortcut for it
-it is consistent with how other applications (Windows Live Photo Gallery, IdImager, etc) do it
-most importantly, many laptops users do not have the numpad (I do not) so they cannot use the current numpad shortcuts
