Removing border from image

Can someone give me a step-by-step explanation on how to remove borders from an image, specifically screen caps like this one:

1. Open the image.
2. In View mode, go to Image » Automatic crop... [Alt+Y]
3. Set the value for Background colour to RGB(0, 0, 0).
4. Set the value for Tolerance to 25.
5. Click OK.
