Hi!
What about a simple color picker, which displays the color value (RGB, HTML hex value) under the current position of the mouse cursor in the status line.
bye

Re: Color picker
May I suggest to add an option to put that function on the right-click?xnview wrote:You have it in menu View/Display Color informationhannesd wrote:Hi!

Also, it would be good if the color picker would display floating point values correctly.
Thanks!

Wasted time, IMHO. You can't beat this little freeware tool:

+1, yes an option menu to allow to always show the colors in the statusbar (view) is a good idea !
But for me, it would be better if a new small external color picker sofware XnViewColorPicker (as XnViewMediaDetector.exe) is created (called in xnview with an hotkey and/or menu, and with copy & paste functions).

The Colour picker would be more complete if...xnview wrote:... You have it in menu View/Display Color information
a.) the colour value could be copied to the clipboard for pasting it in HTML code for example (perhaps using context menu).
b.) the colour value could be picked as background colour.

Yes, good idea too, but by this way, you can not pick a color in the background or in an other windows area without a print screen.helmut wrote:The Colour picker would be more complete if...xnview wrote:... You have it in menu View/Display Color information

By an external XnviewPickercolors.exe file you can.
