rc1: <F11> preview not initially transparent

When my forum avatar (16 color png) is first viewed in browser's fullscreen preview, transparency is not shown.
It is displayed normally after I navigate to next image and return to it.
It is also shown normally when <ctrl + alt +h> turns 'use transparent index' off then on again.

Settings:
Preview area background color=green
Fullscreen background color=black
[x]Use transparent index <=8bits

Confirmed, only I used a transparent GIF to test.
