Search image with empty headline or byline?

I am looking for some advice on a search term.

I have a folder with subfolders with images in them. I have labelled the images with a headline and a byline tag , yet some of the images are without labels.

I want to use the search feature to find all images that have an empty headline or byline.

How do I do this?

I'm afraid you cannot perform such a search using XnView.

If I leave the search fields blank will that work?

Or if I used *.* could that help?
