Adding Text in only one color

Post by Markxxx »

I was using XNVIEW on an old computer that operated Win95. Anyway I finally got a new computer and it is Windows Vista SP1. I downloaded the newest version of XNVIEW (1.93.6)

Here's the thing

In the old computer with an older version of XNVIEW I had some JPGs and I put text on them

So I transferred the files over to the new computer. Now when I try to add text I use the same fonts

Tahoma -> Bold -> 9 -> Black

But the fonts looked very different.

So what I did is I zoomed in on the fonts.

I found in the new version the text was written and had other color outlining them.

When I zoom in on the text made in the old Win95 computer on the older version of XNVIEW the text was written in only BLACK.

This new version the text is basically black but there is also color to the text too.

I guess the colors surrounding the black text are to give the illusion of smoothing the text, but it doesn't look good and it's vastly different from all the other JPGs I have.

Is it some sort of effect or something?
